Refugee Transitions Website wins Award
San Francisco, CA -- January, the Refugee Transition's website, www.reftrans.org, was awarded a "Golden Web Award" for 2003-2004. The Golden Web Awards are administered and judged by The International Association of Web Masters and Designers (IAWMD).
The Golden Web Awards are presented yearly to those sites whose web design, originality and content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of recognition. The newly renovated website was launched in November 2003.
Upon consultation and input with the agency's staff and board of directors, the new website was designed to meet the needs of the agency, according to the site's designer, Raymond Geronimo. The agency wanted to make a presence on the web as a central point of communication and information for its current and prospective volunteers, clients, and supporters.
Overall, the site was given a more professional touch which complements the agency's mission and tradition of helping refugee and immigrant communities.
