City Director for Human Rights Watch
Jen Haile is the City Director for Human Rights Watch, overseeing development, outreach, and local advocacy efforts. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, she was instrumental in the launch of Maverick Collective, a philanthropic and advocacy initiative of PSI (Population Services International), where she traveled the world to promote projects to reduce extreme poverty by investing in women and girls. Previously, Jen spent a decade building successful partnerships at NPR. Jen has been a passionate advocate for women’s rights and human rights since college, working in youth camps in Ukraine, volunteering with the International Rescue Committee to help resettle Sudanese refugees, and teaching business development as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia. Jen earned an MBA in international business and non-profit management from George Washington University. She lives in San Francisco with her husband Jeremy, a public interest lawyer.
She joined the RT Board in September 2019.
