For over 40 years, hundreds of supporters have come to RIT because their families or friends had sought refuge, or they’d heard about refugees on the news. They sought to join a local community of welcomers, and RIT connected them to our efforts. RIT’s fundraisers (supported by generous local companies like yours!) have been pivotal for donors to learn, to be inspired, and to mobilize funding, without which RIT’s work - to help newcomers adjust and thrive in the U.S. - would be much more limited.

In October 2023 RIT will hold our Community-Centric Fundraiser. We’re hoping for this event to not only generate vital resources for RIT (at this time of increased forced migration), but also bring the community together in a celebratory spirit. Our desire is to foster collective welcome, for all newcomers to join a diverse community and ultimately thrive. And that’s a good thing for all of us… because today’s newcomers are tomorrow’s community members, colleagues, and citizens. And if history’s a guide, they’re also our nation’s next-generation inventors, entrepreneurs, peace builders, and leaders.
Sponsorship Opportunities
We have named our sponsorship levels after historic trees. They symbolize endurance, resilience, and optimism--attributes commonly associated with the experiences, journey, and aspirations of immigrant communities. Trees are life-giving, majestic, and rejuvenating. They provide refuge, sanctuary and relief.

In addition to sponsoring RIT’s event, this Exclusive Sponsor selects two RIT programs that they would like to support with a portion of their donation.

- Sponsorship message on the event's website pages, such as a message of support of RIT and its programs.
- Featured on social media. Mentioned by RIT in pre-event, event and post-event posts on facebook and instagram (6 posts max).

In addition to sponsoring RIT’s event, the Sponsor selects an RIT program that they would like to support with a portion of their donation.
