Case Worker 

Iman joined Refugee & Immigrant Transitions in August 2023 as a Case Worker providing educational case management and linkages to resources and services. She was born in Afghanistan and speaks Pashto, Dari/Farsi, English, Urdu, and Hindi. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Kardan University of Afghanistan. Iman also holds a Diploma from the International School of Leadership called IAM-International Assistance Mission Leadership School. She has extensive years of working experience with international organizations in Afghanistan, including the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), The Asia Foundation (TAF), and the US Embassy. She has also worked on many U.S. projects in different fields of Operations, Human Resources, Administration, and Programs. As an immigrant, she has learned about the U.S. systems and has the skills needed to help RIT participants navigate resources and rebuild their lives. Iman values collaborative models and women empowerment.  She already loves her work at RIT and looks forward to learning from the RIT community and seeing the participants thrive.
